The Conkling Center (formerly The Glens Falls Home) was introduced to Jake in 2014 during “Rebranding” discussions. Jake met with a committee of the Board of Directors and Executive Director to discuss the 100+ year history of the organization and the reasons for rebranding.
He was open to all ideas expressed at our meeting. The next meeting, Jake delivered five rebranding concepts. The committee reviewed the five concepts and discussed what they liked about each one. After much discussion, the committee began to cut and paste each aspect they liked to create the agreed upon concept. Jake was very open minded during this process and worked well as part of this team. Jake continues to work with The Conkling Center to assure consistent and positive marketing strategies throughout our various activities. Jake took the time to understand the history, the need for rebranding and the passion of the committee members. Thank-You!
Meet The Owner
Jake Van Ness is a graphic designer, marketing consultant and print specialist who is the principal designer and owner at Graphic Precision in Queensbury, New York.
He has been working in the print and creative fields for over 20 years. With extensive expertise in print design and print production, Jake provides flawless, creative and top notch print marketing materials for his clients. He is passionate about the fact that print marketing is not dead but rather a vital part of an overall campaign that includes both online, as well as offline creative elements. He enjoys working closely with his clients and seeing their businesses grow.
Jake enjoys the splendid offerings of the Adirondacks in Upstate New York though hiking, camping, fishing and passion of photography to capture its beauty. He also enjoys connecting with other freelance designers, creative business owners and graphic designers in school through his work at The Rookie Designer Podcast, with over 150 episodes. After a bit of a hiatus, Jake and his co-host Carl are jumping back into podcasting with their new show Creavo Cast, which will launch early 2025. Jake is also an active member of the networking group Virtual 5 O’Clock which was started in March 2020 and is coming up on it’s 5 year anniversary.
